Navigating and Enrolling in the Alight Smart-Choice Website

Due to a system upgrade, employees have been issued new debit cards for their Alight Smart-Choice Accounts.  Enrollment on the website must be completed again and the new debit cards need to be activated.  Once this has been completed, you can:

View current balances.

Request additional cards for authorized users.

Upload documentation for your card expenses.

Access a comprehensive list of eligible expenses and approved merchants.

Getting Started

Visit the benefits website: www.smartchoiceaccounts.com

1) Click on the green “Register” button.  (Figure 1).

2) Enter your name, zip code and check the box that you received the debit card.  (Figure 2).

3) From the drop-down screen choose “Smart-Choice HSA” as the employee and put your social security number for the Employee ID.  (Figure 3).

4) Select the method you want to be contacted at to receive a verification code. (Figure 4).

5) Enter the code you receive. (Figure 5).

6) Create a user name, fill in your email address and select a password. (Figure 6).

7) Create answers to the security questions.  (Figure 7).

8) Click the blue “Begin Setup Now” button. (Figure 8). The site will then ask you to login with your new username and password.

Managing Your HSA

1) Once you are on the dashboard, click on your name in the upper right hand side of the screen and select “Debit Card(s)”.  (Figure 9).

2) Click the button to activate the card and click “View Pin” to see the pin number assigned to the card. (Figure 10).

3) To register your phone number, click again on your name in the upper right hand side of the screen and select “Communication Settings".  (Figure 11).

4) Update your communication settings and register your phone number.  (Figure 12).

5) From the Main Dashboard, click anywhere in the “Your Accounts” section. (Figure 13).

6) Select “View Beneficiaries” to add or update the beneficiaries on the account. (Figure 14).
