This multi-level carousel was proposed as the Animal Kingdom icon instead of the Tree of Life.

As seen in the background of this concept painting, DinoLand U.S.A. was supposed to have a coaster called the Excavator near the Bone Yard.

Many Disney fans hope that a land based on mythical animals will one day be built at Animal Kingdom. The park logo features a dragon and there used to be signs of dragon activity on the Discovery River Boats. There was speculation that if the film Reign of Fire did well, the land would be constructed and a coaster themed to the movie would be built but the box office take was poor. Other sources said a coaster called Dragon Tower was going to built. A concept painting also exists of a unicorn maze. With all of the characters from Fantasia, Hercules, and others, there are many possibilities for this land.
